The Byrne Group was originally formed in 1969, under the recognisable name of Byrne Brothers (an existing Group member), to provide engineering solutions to complex sub and superstructure works, and quickly established themselves as a leading concrete frame contractor within the UK Industry. The Group has consistently grown and expanded since then, partly due to high quality workmanship and an enviable reputation, and partly down to some key acquisitions, namely FB Ellmer Ltd (Ellmer Construction) in 1977, Thorn Plant Hire in 1989, Touchwood Specialist Joinery Ltd in 2003 and Chorus Group Ltd in 2004. The Byrne brothers saw the need and advantages of being able to offer clients a complete integrated construction service, so they went about procuring that ability. The Byrne Group can now offer a service from project inception to delivery, from formwork to fit out. We have in-house design, joinery manufacture and architectural glazing, and we supply our own plant. We directly employ over 200 managerial staff and over 500 craftsmen from all aspects of the Industry. All enabling the Group to be in total control of each project they undertake. The Byrne brothers have cited strong relationships as a key part of their success, a characteristic which has been enforced throughout the Group companies. The short lines of communication between site and the Directors ensures accessibility to, and prompt response by, Senior Management. The Group mission is to help clients realise their vision for their buildings and deliver a service that pushes the limits of what should be expected from the Industry. Our staff are seasoned professionals, who are experienced in their fields, and are determined to excel in every project they complete. The diversity and proactiveness of the Byrne Group has benefited greatly from the acquisitions, each individual company having their own experts in their specialist fields, whose experience can be called upon to strengthen any design team to the benefit of the client. Whether the project is concrete frames/formwork, new build, refurbishment or fit out, we have the knowledge, the enthusiasm and the personalities to embark upon and overcome every situation. |
